Chancellor's 2011 Budget set for March 23 2011

George Osborne, the Chancellor, has set the date for the 2011
Budget - Wednesday, March 23. .
The 2011 Budget will be his second Budget since the Coalition
government came to power in May.
His first was an emergency Budget that outlined austerity
measures deeper than those the Greek government has had to commit
to and similar in depth to those imposed by the Geddes Committee in
the early 1920s – Britain's worst stretch of austerity in
modern history.
Last month he fleshed out those plans in the Comprehensive
Spending Review, which included cutting nearly half a million
public sector jobs, slashing budgets and reducing welfare benefits
in an attempt to curb Britain's record deficit.
