  • The Government (as announced this morning in the High Court) has just lost its appeal allowing them to change the 43p tariff for all installations after 16th December 2011 down to 21p.

  • That means that any customer who is installed between December 16th and March 3rd 2012 may receive the 43p tariff banding that you are on for the next 25 years.

  • The Government may well appeal again by approaching the Supreme Court, but this will mainly be done to keep some uncertainty in the market and minimise the cost to them by limiting the number of installations between now and then. Stories are varying as to whether this is the case; NO according to the Telegraph, and most industry insiders, and YES according to Chris Huhne who has just released a ‘face saving’ statement.

  • Whichever way the ruling goes, the fact is that it will be at least 21p and probably will be 43p which represents a huge opportunity for anyone wishing to have a PV installation and there will NEVER be a better time to invest or such an opportunity again.

  • The next couple of weeks will be a gold rush for installations and spaces are limited as customers chance the higher tariff. During the last rush for installations in December, Finesse Energy completed EVERY installation for every contract signed.

  • We are holding around £150,000.00 of stock as of today, and have just placed orders for more, as all suppliers have indicated that stocks will not cope with the oncoming rush.

  • If you have any friends or family or work colleagues who may wish to be installed before the MARCH 3RD cut off period we are filling our schedules NOW.

  • We are now a highly experienced and evolved company with the structure in place to offer exceptional value at this time.

  • Send in your recommendations NOW clearly indicating both your names and their details and we will give them recommended priority treatment both in terms of booking appointments, getting professional quotes emailed to them, and priority installation booking dates on all orders taken.

  • You will also receive our standard £200.00 recommendations fee for all completed orders as a thank you.

  • With our new reduced price list, a customer with a south facing roof, no shading, 4kWp system, 50% use and 50% export, could earn 8% - 10% if the tariff stays at 21p or 12% - 15% return, if the tariff goes up to 43p. These payments are tax free, indexed linked to the RPI, over 25 years.

  • After April 1st this year, under the Governments new ‘Green Deal’, around 86% of properties will not be able to have Solar PV on their property until they have had an EPC energy certificate and fill the new criteria. (This is estimated to cost between £4000 - £8000).

  • Mike Hibberd, Company Director of Finesse Energy, Southampton, stated today, “The result of the Appeals Hearing today are a significant victory for the stability of our industry and show that the Government cannot just impose legislation without going through the proper consultation period. I met recently with Chris Huhne MP Minister of State for DECC (Energy and Climate Change), and we exchanged passionate views on this and other Solar related matters. I also had the opportunity to meet and discuss with other MP’s at the House of Commons. The Government and the industry must act together now to stabilise the industry. In the short term, the higher tariff rates represent a fantastic rate of return for any customers installed between now and March 3rd.”
