Helen Manns is the director of Manns and Manns and started her career officially in property after completing her A levels in business and psychology. Before this time Helen was working amongst her family business from a very young age and soon qualified as a NAEA agent gaining her MNAEA status, specialising in residential sales. In her late teens Helen worked for a corporate estate agent in sales and exceeded all targets expected of her. Helen then worked hard to build a lettings business in Winchester at a very young age, which was then later franchised and sold. During this time Helen was also events organising for the Royal College of GP’s. Amongst a busy schedule Helen did part time modelling, showjumping, qualified herself in power boating, raised money for charity by ski diving at 15,000 feet for disabled children, participated in numerous around the Island boat races and supported other charitable events. Helen has a true passion for property, water sports and equestrianism. Most of all she loves her family and lives in the local area with her partner and two gorgeous sons. For over 20 years Helen has provided exceptional service to the local marketplace. Her expertise and unrivalled knowledge of all areas surrounding the River Hamble makes Helen and her team a great choice for anyone looking to sell their home. Helen Comments: I have a true passion for property. I have assisted with some incredible projects over the years and with my amazing team we are proud that we have moved over 2,000 homeowners during my directorship. I genuinely love what I do, and the moment customers complete the sale or purchase of their home I feel like ive made a difference. I will always support my clients for the best possible outcome and well versed to ever fluctuating marketplaces. I am proud to keep my family business that was founded in 1938 and look forward to the future ahead with both past and future clients.
Nick was born and raised in Netley Abbey and excitingly emigrated to Hamble approaching his teenage years. Nick started his selling career in photographic equipment to the public and professionals and soon became the top salesmen for the company. His natural ability to sell meant that he soon moved into estate agency and started his successful property career at Austin & Wyatt. During his initial years in estate agency, nick climbed the career ladder from a trainee negotiator to a senior negotiator. Finally progressing to the valuation manger with a conversion rate of 98% Nick remained as an award-winning agent for seven continuous years and worked for Two Saints Charity where he experienced a life changing career and was featured in one of their annual reports for outstanding work, housing 100% of the clients and increasing available property by 100%. During this time Nick successfully completed a course in level 1 and 2 of housing law. In nicks early career he refurbished and developed numerous properties and is well versed to assist people with helpful insights when looking into their next investment. Nick comments: I enjoy gardening, walking our dog, caravaning and being a family man. I have enjoyed working at Manns and Manns for the past 11 years helping clients sell and find their perfect home.
Alison worked in sales for a national company and completed 14 very successful years. Alison then moved into Estate Agency 11 years ago, initially as an administrator before soon working her way up to become a negotiator. She joined Manns and Manns as Sales Progressor in July 2017 training directly with Helen Manns. Alison comments: I have loved every minute of working for Manns and Manns. Building a rapport with vendors and purchasers, chasing through the chain and updating all concerned on progress made, is a large part of my job description. Every day brings different challenges and being there to help in any way I can is paramount to me to ensure our clients know they have someone to turn to no matter how simple or complex the request. I will endeavour to make their sale or purchase as smooth and stress free as I possibly can in order to reap a successful completion. Communication is the key and having a great team in the office who are always willing to assist helps make the wheels turn smoothly. In my down time I enjoy baking and there is nothing like beating the ingredients of a cake together to get rid of the stress of the day. Love having friends and family around and cooking a great meal.
Cheryl was born and raised in South Cheshire and moved to Southampton to complete her GCSE’s and A-Levels. Cheryl now lives in Bursledon with her Husband and two children. Cheryl is often your first point of contact here at Manns & Manns and will be the happy, helpful and professional voice at the end of the phone. Cheryl’s career started in retail and she spent many years working for John Lewis as a Section Manager where customer service is paramount. In 2003 she made the bold move into the Banking and Finance sector, initially employed as a Personal Banking Advisor with Santander before transitioning to a Customer Care Advisor within the motor insurance sector. Many years of working with the general public, largely dealing with, and resolving complaints, has provided her with an array of administrative and customer service experience, particularly in a highly regulated environment. After taking some time out professionally to look after her children, Cheryl took the exciting opportunity to join Manns & Manns as head of administration. Cheryl comments: I love spending time with my family and have a particular fondness of shopping and all things pink and sparkly!
