Warsash
Warsash is a wonderful village west of Locksheath, which has an array of independent shops, eating and drinking establishments. The Rising Sun public house is located on the waterfront and is very popular amongst local people and visitors.
For sailing and water sports enthusiasts there is a range of marinas available along the River Hamble and berthing facilities. There are sailing clubs nearby and a lovely sense of community. Paths along the waterfront provide miles of waterside walks and access to the local beach and parkland.
Warsash is home to Warsash Maritime Academy part of Southampton Solent university, which provides training for Merchant Navy officers from around the world.
Locksheath is the closest shopping centre which has numerous shops, cafes, library, Waitrose and centre for the local community. There are numerous bus services locally, train links from Park Gate and nearby access to the M/A27.
